The Australian Papua New Guinea Submarine Cable 2 (APNG-2) was established in 2006 under Telikom PNG, Telstra Australia and Telecom New Zealand, was once the country’s main internet highway that connected PNG to Australia and to the world wide web. It exceeded its capabilities, proving to be one of the country’s effective information gateway for more than 16 years.
