Restoration Update

We are pleased to advise our valued customers, internet users, businesses and the general
public that significant progress has been made on the restoration of the Kumul Submarine
Cable Network following the cable fault caused by the earthquake on 7 October 2025.

Updated Repair Schedule

The dedicated Cable Repair Vessel is now expected to arrive in Lae on 14 December 2025.
Repair operations on the KSCN1 S2 segment are scheduled to commence on 16 December
2025 and are estimated to take 6–8 days to complete.
Pending no further unforeseen delays, all affected areas should have services restored
before Christmas.

Planned Service Interruption During Repairs

During the active repair window (16–24 December 2025), KSCN1 services to Alotau and
Popondetta will be temporarily offline to allow the cable ship to perform necessary restoration
work and testing on the KSCN S2 segment. Customers in these areas are kindly requested
to use alternate links during this period. Services out of Alotau and Popondetta will be
rerouted on Satellite and microwave links during that period.

Our team of engineers, technicians and international partners are working together to
execute the repair safely and as quickly as possible. We fully recognise the importance of
reliable connectivity is to your daily lives and businesses and are fully committed to restoring
normal service at the earliest.

We thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
