PNG DataCo Limited would like to advise all our Valued Customers and Internet users that the Natural Disaster (Earthquake) that hit Morobe in the early hours of this morning has affected critical nodes of our transmission infrastructure between Port Moresby and Madang thus affecting services on our Primary links.
Our Technical Team is investigating the cause and possible fix and in the meantime have moved all traffic onto the secondary links. Due to this, your services may face congestion and increased latency. Our team is working with our Suppliers to increase our redundant links to be able to ease the congestion while we work on a permanent fix.
